Finally!! These past 2 days have been excellent because
it was warm enough to do some riding. Today the weather was cloudy with
a ton of wind, but I rode anyway because the temps were relatively warm.
Doug and I took a nice long route down through Lenoir City, Maryville,
Townsend, Pigeon Forge, and then back to Knoxville. It wasn't the prettiest
day, but it was a great chance to go out and ride. Spring is on its
way...I can't wait until the temps are warm every day. I received the
Digital Rebel and it is quite a badass camera. I will post some samples
soon. I will definitely be using it quite a bit this summer.

What is new? Nothing...the weather still sucks. I have
been kinda lazy and haven't added any news or videos to this site, so
I pledge to be better about it. I have a new Canon Digital Rebel coming
in the mail, and I am really looking forward to it. I am going to try
to take a lot of motorcycle photos this season, everything from knee
dragging to AMA races. The quality of this camera is phenomenal, it
is certainly capable of taking magazine quality photographs...the weakness
will lie in the user (me!). If you have some time, check out this
site, it is a motorcycle club located in North Carolina. You can
find them up in the Smoky Mountains quite often.

Well, after briefly considering a move to Florida or California
in order to improve riding conditions, I have decided to stick out this
God awful cold weather in hopes that the groundhog was wrong and spring
will come early. Besides, why give up some of the best riding in the
country, all because I like to complain about the cold temperatures?
My one solace is my daily commute, albeit cold, to campus. Though it
is only 1 mile from my house, at least I get to ride and remind myself
what it feels like to be in the saddle. Can you tell I am REALLY looking
forward to spring?
Friday, Jan 30, 11:06 A.M.
Well, the weather sucks again so the bike is sitting in
the garage, begging to be ridden. I am thinking about heading over to
gear up and buying some flushmounts for my front signals...at least
it will give me an excuse to work on my bike while it is cold out. Thanks
to everyone who have uploaded pictures here, it is interesting to see
all of the different bikes. I encourage you all to keep putting up your
favorite pics. If you did any riding at Deal's Gap over the past couple
of years, make sure to check out Killboy.com,
he might have a picture of you!
Tuesday, Jan 27, 5:46 P.M.
Finally I have been able to do a little riding. Both Saturday
and Monday I was able to get out and ride for a while...in fact Saturday
I got about 2 full hours in the saddle...a much needed getaway. No fun
twisties though, there is so much crap on the road that I don't feel
comfortable leaning it over very far. I am starting to form some chickenstrips
again...Spring needs to get here so I can remedy that at the Gap. I
bought a tiny MP3 player that I am going to mount on my helmet on longer
trips. Basically, it
is like this one, except smaller and much cheaper. I will give credit
to that site for the idea. A little velcro and I can mount/unmount it
easily, and I will permanently run some wires under the liner to little
speakers in the helmet. I am hoping it works as well as I am envisioning,
but I will report back my success/failure.

Well I have added
a little somethin somethin to my photo gallery. I decided it would
be cool to allow my visitors to upload their own images for display,
comment, and rating. Upload anything motorcycle related, hopefully there
will be some good images in there for everyone to enjoy.
Thursday, Jan 22, 7:52 P.M.
No matter how you look at it, riding in below freezing
temperatures is not a lot of fun...at least if you don't have the gear
for it. I have been freezing my ass off riding to campus everyday, but
I keep doing it because the parking cannot be beat. I absolutely hate
the cold and am anxiously awaiting that Spring day when it hits the
60s and stays there. I am headed to Gear Up to pick up some decent winter
gloves though, perhaps it will make the commute to UT a little more
Saturday, Jan 17, 12:18 P.M.
The weather is getting shitty again so the bike is sitting
in the garage. I am about to go pick up some winter gloves though because
my hands are freezing when it gets below 40 (which is practically every
time I ride to school.) I absolutely cannot wait for spring to get here.
Wednesday, Jan 14, 6:51 P.M.
With the help of my buddy Doug, I have added a cool
new feature to my site that allows me to upload photographs with
a few clicks. I will be uploading constantly as I take more shots, so
check the page often. Doug
has a pretty cool site, go over and check it out. We ride together
pretty often and always have a blast down at Deal's Gap. I am back in
Knoxville and it is GREAT to be riding again. The weather has actually
been pretty nice lately so I have been on my bike quite a bit. I really
missed the feel and acceleration of a motorcycle and I am glad to be
able to ride daily once again. I watched One
Man's Island last night. It is a documentary about a guy who drops
everything in his life and spends months at the Isle of Man preparing
to run in the TT race. It is a great look into what goes on and how
difficult it is. An added bonus is the guy leases an F4i and runs the
race on it, so I can see the potential of my bike and what I will never
have the balls to do.
Monday, Jan 5, 1:21 A.M.
Not too much is going on with me lately...I am visiting
my parents over the holidays and my bike is winterized back in Knoxville.
It sucks because the weather has been excellent and I wish I was out
riding. I can't wait to get back into town and get out on the road again,
even though it will probably be cold as shit.
Saturday, Dec 13, 4:19 P.M.
Well, the ole bike is winterized and ready to sit for the
next month while I am gone. I changed the oil, put it up on stands,
and slapped a battery tender on as well. Also poured some Stabil in
the tank to keep the fuel injectors cleaned. It is KILLING me not being
able to go riding, I cannot wait for warm weather again.
Tuesday, Dec 09, 7:14 P.M.
The weather has been slightly better lately, so I have
been riding everywhere I can. I am changing the oil this weekend and
putting in some fuel stabilizer to prepare for winterization. It will
only be put up for a month or so, but I want to make sure I can get
it started. I even invested in a battery tender.
Monday, Dec 08, 12:43 A.M.
Man I am a wuss. I finally got into the 50s today and I
decided to go out for a ride. I made it all of 15 minutes before my
hands had gone numb and I had to turn around. I am going to have to
invest in some better cold weather gloves if I am going to get any riding
in this winter. I hate just having my bike sitting downstairs, but I
am miserable when it is below 60 degrees outside. Time to do a little
Sunday, Dec 07, 1:07 P.M.
Well I have been working on my new site for quite a bit
now. Things are coming along pretty well and the site is slowly taking
shape. I decided to create this site because I got a great deal on some
web space and I absolutely love everything that has to do with motorcycles.
Since it is so friggin cold outside, I figure I will spend some time
developing this site until the weather clears up. A lot of the areas
of this site are still under development so check back from time to
time as I get things up and going. I will try to update pretty frequently
and put as much motorcycle related stuff as I can on here. If you have
any good links or info, feel free to send
them to me and I will put them up here.
